Permanent Veterinary Nurse - Frogmore Hertfordshire
A practice based in St Albans is looking for a permanent full-time nurse to join their small and friendly team. This is an independent small animal practice with the usual equipment, who pride themselves on providing an excellent level of pet and client care. They are focused on low stress for patients - and staff! The ideal candidate will be dynamic and organised - someone who has some experience and can turn their hand to everything from reception, nurse rotas, and running clinics through to anaesthesia and inpatient care. Youll be working alongside one vet and two part-time RVNS and will be an integral part of the team, helping to take the practice to the next level. You will enjoy an average 38-hour week with 1 Saturday mornings a month and no OOH, along with two 3-day weekends off a month. RCVS and VDS fees paid, workplace pension, generous CPD funding and a competitive salary - full details of rota and salary on request. The rota varies between 8.30 to 4.30, or 10.30 - 7.30 with the odd full days of 8.30 - 7.30. The Saturdays are currently running at 1 in 4, but once every 3 month there will be an extra Saturday to work. There is some sole charge, where they will be the sole nurse with the vet. The practice ideally needs someone who is competent running anaesthetics on their own with no assistance. There is definitely more than a 30 minute lunch break unless they are manic!
