The practice would like a Nurse for a 6 months placement.
salary is $25,000
The schedule is a 5 week rota, 40 hours a week which includes on call as well. Typically, the nurse who leaves at 7.30 p.m. is the RVN on call and will also do 1 out of 5 weekends on call, a total of 7 nights on call over the 5 week period. Being on the on call rota is included in the salary but if you get called in, you will get paid extra for the time worked. Any time over the 40 hour week is overtime and is paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate. There is also a Public Holiday rota and any hours on that day /night is paid 2 times the hourly rate.
The practice will pay for you, one round trip flight from the UK. (They cannot accommodate family members)
Rental Accommodation will be provided with a rent of about $1,500 per month. Wifi, TV and water is included in the rent. The only utility you have to pay in addition is electricity, which runs about $100 - $150 a month. The apartment has all furnishings, so you only need your personal items and clothes.
Paid vacation and paid sick leave is 1 week each for the six month period.
A motor bike will be provided for you, the Islands main form of transport, but you will pay for running costs i.e. gas. The practice will also pay any costs in getting your driver`s license and you will have 2 month`s to obtain your licence.
The practice will pay for all costs associated with the work permit that is required, however they may ask you to prepay for instance your medical certificate and passport photos but they will reimburse the cost plus any courier costs etc. There isn`t a lot of paperwork for the permit but the practice is always on hand to help, it really isn`t onerous and they will walk you through it. The payment method will be via PAYE.
