The role would be across both clinics ideally, but both are fully kitted out surgeries and the vets are rota`d to work at a specific clinic each day, so there is no being sent to a tiny branch practice after lunch for example! OOH is covered by Vets Now. You are required to be available on your phone one night per week and one weekend in 5, to support the nurses with any stable, nurse led in patients where they need advice/help. Week commencing 17th & 24th February 11th July for 1 month The practice are 55% Farm 40% Equine and 5% Small, they often refer small to the RVC if they need hospitalization. Opening hours 9am - 5pm Monday- Fridays and evenings and weekend emergency cover only They would need a mixed vet happy for sole charge when out of hours The large animal work is mainly beef, with the odd sheep, goat and alpaca. There is a 40% spilt with Equine but as long as you can cover the basics for colic call outs, stitch ups and vaccinations they are happy to refer the other cases. Small animal is only for the on call for this clinics clients only. They don`t have the accommodation but there are some reasonable air b&bs near to the practice, the practice can offer £50 per night towards this. They will provide a 4x4 vehicle .
