Full time - 40 hours per week

This is a role with both clinical and non-clinical expectations. The Lead Registered Veterinary Nurse will uphold the clinical standards and work to the code of conduct for veterinary nurses. They will work alongside the Group Nursing Manager and Clinical Directors to be responsible for nursing services and clinical nursing care, supporting and coaching veterinary nurses and students and ensuring high standards of the practice and facilities are maintained. All leaders are expected to facilitate a positive working environment through having an approachable, cheerful, inclusive attitude that encourages communication and participation.

The nurses work a 4-day week with an hour lunch break - where you`ll have plenty of time to relax in their beautiful staff room. They have a dedicated twilight and night teams, so there is no out-of-hours requirement, except that their day team act as “last resort” backup for the night on an on-call rota. They do have robust systems
in place that mean this really is a last resort and rarely used. Everyone contributes to the 1:8 daytime weekend rota, where you will work one of the daytime shifts on the Saturday and Sunday (7.30am-6.30pm or 8.30am-7.30pm) providing in-patient care and help with emergencies supported by a 2nd RVN, an SVN an
