Permanent Nurse in South Yorkshire

This independent clinic in Rotherham is hoping to find their Deputy Head Nurse.
As a key member of the surgery team, this role is responsible for helping to consistently deliver exceptional customer service and clinical care whilst promoting pet wellbeing, delivering preventive services and treating sick and injured pets.
This role assists the Head Nurse in driving the efficiency, effectiveness, governance continuous improvement of the clinical activities within the surgery and in doing so, it helps to steer the overall direction and unify the clinical culture of the business and is key to growing turnover and profitability.
Duties and responsibilities
Act as a clinical coach
Deputise for the Head Nurse:
To create an environment in which all colleagues are happy, healthy and stimulated.
To run the surgery at its optimum efficiency and productivity.
To deliver the best customer experience and patient care.
To manage Veterinary Nurses and Animal Care Assistants (including Locums), ensuring:
Their time and expertise are most effectively utilised, and they are working to their full capability
Their interactions with customers and patients are consistently excellent
Their clinical records are accurate and up to date
They consistently comply with clinical protocols and the Practice Procedures Manual
To ensure Student Nurses are:
Adequately progressing their schemes
Being supported by their mentors
To liaise with the People team on personnel administration requirements:
Work rotas
Salary spreadsheets
Nurse care nights payments
Holiday requests
Absence recording
