Salary range is £38,000-£43,000 depending on experience.
An independent clinic based in Surrey is looking for a dedicated and passionate Head veterinary nurse who can provide advanced nursing care to patients receiving pioneering orthopaedic and neurological treatments.
As Head Nurse, you will lead a team of approximately 70 Veterinary Nurses (RVN`s) and Veterinary Care
Assistants (VCA`s) along with the support of the nursing management structure, which contains 4 Clinical Nurse
Leads who will be your direct reports. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, someone who shows compassion and direction, and who is able
to manage teams with a positive attitude within a fast-paced clinical environment. You must possess clinical
confidence and competence, along with the ability to make decisions. You will be empathetic, supportive and act as a positive role model at all times. You will help develop people, training, oversee the mentor program, conduct regular review meetings, actively work on your own development and find fulfilment in your own role.
You are accountable for the 24/7 rota including holidays etc and support the student program. Ensure all clinical equipment is in working order and under service contract where appropriate. Oversee the recruitment of Veterinary nurses and care assistants, working closely with HR team.
