Hospital Lead Veterinary Surgeon

£70,000 per annum, Up to, depending on experience

Due to growth within the hospital, they are delighted to be able to expand, and offer a new position for a Lead Veterinary surgeon as part of a 5 vet team.
40 Hours per week
No OOH.
No on call.
No Sundays.

They are looking for an experienced, dedicated veterinary surgeon, who strives to provide the best level of care for all the patients and their owners. This role may also be suitable for someone looking to progress in their career into a leadership position within clinical practice.

You should enjoy working as part of a multi vet team and be confident in providing mentorship and support to colleagues. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate confidently with associates at all levels, which is important to them.

You will be able to prioritise your work based on clinical priority and importance. The successful applicant can expect to work in a happy and supportive environment, with the dedicated experienced nurses, patient care team right through to their client care team.

Your role and responsibilities will be to work alongside the Clinical Director to ensure standards are upheld, with the highest level of clinical care is provided to patients. Mixture of general practice consultation and surgery days throughout the week, protected 1 day a week for administration time also.
Ensure assessment of all cases, formulating and implementing preventative, diagnostic and treatment plans as appropriate.
Work collaboratively and mentor colleagues within the practice to do the same.
Review, develop and ensure all treatment is carried out in accordance with practice protocols.
To work alongside and delegate tasks as required with other clinical and support staff.
