The role will be mostly based at the Hospital, with one day at the branch practice . We believe this really does offer the best of both worlds. The candidate will be able to utilise their clinical skills within the different areas of our hospital and enjoy getting to form strong bonds with clients and their pets in a branch practice environment.
The position will require a motivated, compassionate and driven Nurse to assist with anaesthesia, surgery and diagnostic processes. Duties will also include nurse consultations, laboratory work and inpatient care. An interest in orthopaedics would be desirable but not essential.
This is a full-time role working 38.5 hours per week over 4 days. There are no out of hours.
This hospital status practice is home to a brand new CT scanner, dental suite, new and improved canine kennels, ISFM gold standard cat kennels, dedicated isolation facilities and four operating theatres. Within the hospital our team regularly perform ultrasonography, cardiology and orthopaedic surgeries.
Currently they have 34 Veterinary Surgeons, 41 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 5 Student Veterinary Nurses, 9 Animal Nursing Assistants and 30+ Support staff. Many of the Vets and Nurses are certificate holders in multiple disciplines
