Salary up to £65,000 depending on experience plus a relocation allowance up to £5,000

This role is based at a busy first opinion and referral hospital alongside a fantastic team of certificate holders in multiple disciplines. The role will involve consultations, surgery, hospital and inpatient shifts, and emergency and out-of-hours care alongside the usual first opinion duties. The role will be tailored to suit the successful applicant`s level of experience.

The vets usually work between the hours of 8am - 6.30pm and most choose to work their 40 hours over 4 days, however, they are happy to discuss working patterns as they understand how important a good work/life balance is. There is a share of 1:4 weekends, including out-of-hours work on a rota-basis with our night and twilight team. The successful candidate would be required to work 2 bank holidays per year at the main hospital with time off in lieu for these shifts.

The practice accepts certificate-level referrals in a range of disciplines and have their own out-of-hours service on-site. They have excellent facilities, including laparoscopy, and have recently completed a large hospital expansion, which includes a CT scanner, dental suite and additional theatres. They also have 2 super branch practices, which offer a friendly local service to their loyal clients.

They have a large team of 34 Vets with 8 new graduates, 41 Nurses and support staff. They are a nurse training practice and offer a structured 2-year programme for new graduate vets. A number of vets and nurses have achieved and are training for certificates; there is an emphasis on ongoing development and learning.
