Salary up to £65,000 depending on experience plus a relocation allowance up to £5,000 and welcome bonus up to £5,000
Daily duties involve:
Operations and consultations.
Implementing and delivering inpatient care.
Working alongside a highly qualified Vet and Nurse team.
Responsibilities include:
Self-directed consultations.
Communicating with clients, relating to Patient care.
Developing Care plans for inpatients.
Carrying out routine surgery / diagnostics or dentistry.
The rota includes working up to 40 hours per week. Shift patterns can be flexible with the hours being between 8:00am-7:00pm with 1 late night per week. There will be 1 in 3 weekends with no out of hours.
The practice is a large newly renovated building with various facilities including 2 operating theatres, with piped oxygen, an imaging suite with X-ray and top of the range Ultrasound, dental suite with Dental X-ray facilities, an endoscopy unit, in-house lab equipment, a large training room, where they host regular lunch and learns / team meetings.
The team consists of 6 Veterinary Surgeons, 7 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse, 2 Animal Care Assistants and 7 Receptionists.
They work closely with local kennels, treating stray dogs and cat protection as well as guide dogs, and have a close working relationship with the local SRUC colleges, developing Nurses and Veterinary Care Assistants.
