They would love to find someone looking to work on a full time basis although would consider part time hours for the right candidate.

When the practice opened it was important to them to create a positive learning culture with a family feel where everyone in the team felt they could rely on each other. Having grown both their client base and team all of them continue to work hard to maintain this culture, provide a high standard of clinical care, and create a workplace where everyone can look forward to going to work and feel valued whilst there. The opportunity to develop their own clinical interests at their own pace was also important so they could cultivate an ethos of continued development for the whole team. Due to growth they are now looking for another veterinary surgeon to join them as they continue to develop.

You will be working alongside 2 other vets who are lucky to have an experienced nursing and non-clinical team and you will be supported by 3 RVNs, 2 SVNs, Practice manager and friendly reception team.

They already have strong interests in exotics, soft tissue surgery and ophthalmology within the team and their busy and varied caseload will allow you to continue to build on this or follow your own clinical bias. They provide a generous CPD allowance to support you in this as well. The diary is arranged so that their vets have the time they need for reporting results, writing notes and to work up cases to the highest standard possible.

This position would suit a vet with a few years of experience, happy with routine consults and surgeries, looking to progress a specific clinical interest (particularly surgery) or develop into a more senior role as the team continues to grow. They would love to find someone looking to work on a full time basis although would consider part time hours for the right candidate. Occasional sole charge is required and Saturdays are shared on a rota basis which will be discussed at interview. If you work a Saturday, you will get the next weekend as a long weekend off and they are closed on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Opening hours are Monday to Friday 09:00-19:00 and Saturday 09:00-14:00

Benefits include 5.6 weeks holiday, increasing to 6.6 weeks with service and your birthday off, CPD allowance and support, Contributory pension scheme, Access to AXA private healthcare, Paid memberships (RCVS, VDS, BVA and one other of your choice).
