Vet availability at a branch practice in west Yorkshire.
Ideally this is a fulltime role, however they are happy to look at a job share for 2 vets wishing to have this working pattern. While CPD and certificates are funded, a partnership prospect exists for the right candidate. They are happy to be flexible with hours, consider a vet who wishes to do both consults and surgery, or just consults - get in touch as they understand the need for flexibility. There is no OOH requirement, they open 6 days per week and would ask you to take part in a weekend rota which is currently 1:3. Opening hours are Mon-Fri 09:00-19:00 and Saturday 09:00-16:00.
You will be joining an excellent team which includes 3 Vets, 4 Nurses and full support team.
As a busy practice the team welcomes long standing clients which brings an interesting and varied caseload to the practice daily. The Practice Owner is committed to supporting those that might be interested in pursuing a certificate, be this taking the modules back to back or over a longer period of time to balance with lifestyle outside of the practice.
They hold regular meetings and they structure their day carefully allowing for 15 minute consults, although thy understand that some things take longer, as there is a lot to discuss when doing 1st vaccinations so offer double appointments for these and other non-routine consults such as blood tests and euthanasia.
In joining the team and supporting a great community and client base, they are looking for a colleague with solid GP experience, a team player with great communication skills and someone who shares their passion for providing the highest level of veterinary care.
