An exciting opportunity for a Vet at a 24 hospital in Leeds.
Competitive salary commensurate with experience
They are always looking to progress and increase the services they can provide; a recent extension has tripled their working space, allowed them to grow their team, offer even more flexibility in working patterns, provide further progression opportunities, and expand their ability to provide in-house CPD and training. Even more recently they have started working with an external CT imaging provider, further improving case continuity for both their vets and clients.
The hospital are looking for someone to develop their Dermatology service both within the hospital and within their large first opinion clinic. The successful candidate should be either a certificate holder in Dermatology or soon to finish their Dermatology Certificate (happy to take on Cert sponsorship), looking to building their own caseload with the support of senior clinicians within the hospital and shows a good all-round interest in general first opinion care. Surgical experience (or wish to do surgery) not-necessarily. You will also be an enthusiastic clinician keen to support younger vets/ graduates and develop their existing nursing team``s dermatology clinical skills.
Either full or part time details as below
Full time option
40hrs week, 1 in 4 weekends (no sole charge, sick pet consults, hospital IP care and ECC work)
35hrs Mon - Fri
4 day week (same day off per week)
Suggested rota : 3 consulting shifts per week, with Dermatology referrals and clinic booked within this. You will also need to show keen interest to still do good first opinion, sick pet consults to gold standard.
Fourth shift in the week would be a combination of derm consults, inpatient shift and/or dermatological workups and procedures. Happy to discuss options on interview.
Part Time option
25-30hrs week, 1 in 4 weekends (no sole charge, sick pet consults, hospital care and ECC work)
2-3 days per week (flexible to discuss)
Option would be first-opinion consulting shifts (mainly sick pet consults, 30mins) with option to build increasing derm referral cases within consult times.
All sick pet consults are 30mins as standard .
The team include 12 Vets, 35 Nurses + Full Support team.
