Part time Vet

Permanent Vet in Buckinghamshire

Salary up to £70,000 DOE plus a relocation allowance up to £2,000

The role will include both consulting and surgery blocks (along with ample admin time,) with no on-call duties. We are looking for a forward-thinking Vet who really enjoys being part of a busy and supportive team and they would be actively supported in pursuing a certificate.

An interest in exotics would be ideal but this is not essential. Most importantly we want someone who will be able to communicate with and involve clients in providing the best possible care for their pet.

The role on offer is part-time, based on 26 hours per week to include shifts on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with 2 Saturday morning shifts on a 5-week rota.

This vacancy is at a 2 centre, long established and highly respected practice, which absolutely prides itself on providing colleagues with a supportive and friendly environment where they can offer the highest standard of care to our wonderful clients and their pets.

They have a great selection of facilities and equipment - the imaging suite consists of x-ray, ultrasound and endoscopy, there are separate clean and dirty theatre suites, dental x-ray, multi-parameter GA monitoring, separate dog and cat/exotics wards, vivarium, and in-house lab.

Among the veterinary team they have 3 certificate holders - 2 cert AVM SAMs and 1 exotic, a wonderful nursing team consisting of 8 RVNs and 4 SVNs, and they are very lucky to have very low staff turnover with many staff members who have been with them for over 10 years (some considerably longer!).
