Vet vacancy at a branch practice in West Sussex.
Salary - £45,000 to £65,000 dependent on experience (pro rata).
Flexible rota - whether you would like to work 3, 4 or 5 days a week, they would love to chat about the options available.
No out of hours or inpatient on call as this is outsourced to Pets Emergency Treatment Service (PETS).
Saturday rota - just 1 in 4 (9am to 2pm).
They are a small animal RCVS accredited practice that maintains a relaxed, very friendly, and supportive environment. They value their team, which includes Marie - Clinical Director, a Head Nurse, 5 Vets, 5 RVNs, 2 SVNs, 2 receptionists, all supported by their Practice Manager.
Their premises were purpose built in what was once a cow shed, providing them a lovely spacious practice with the additional benefit of air conditioning - a big plus in the summer! They have lovely clients who want to do the best for their animals and want them to work their cases up fully.
They have great facilities including their laparoscopic equipment, digital x-ray, endoscopy, ultrasound, multi parameter and heated theatre table. They are currently adding dental x-ray and they are always keen to buy the equipment needed to provide the best care to their patients.
They have a friendly loyal client base, many of who have been bringing their pets to them since they first opened!
They believe in a good work life balance and ensure everyone gets a lunch break and plenty of refreshments throughout the day. They have a dedicated room where the team can take their paid lunch breaks or plenty of space outside to go for a walk in the fresh air.
The Clinical Director, has over 20 years` experience and has a special interest in endoscopy, keyhole and soft tissue surgery, as well as feline geriatric medicine. They have been offering laparoscopic spays for many years now, not only for their own patients but from others around the county. They encourage all their vets to learn laparoscopic spays and they will be happy to set time aside so you can learn if needed.
Benefits include 6.6 weeks paid holiday including bank holidays (pro rata), £1750 CPD Allowance per annum, RCVS Membership paid, Two other membership subscriptions, VDS cover, Enhanced paternity, maternity, adoption, shared parental leave and surrogacy pay, Cycle to Work scheme, CPD/training support.
