This is a part time position of up to 24 hours per week, ideally working across a Tuesday, Thursday & Friday. You will also be included in our Saturday rota (1 in 3 Saturdays and in turn you will receive time off in lieu the following week and there is no OOH).
You will be joining a strong nursing team with over 75 Years of combined nursing experience. This friendly team consist of 3 Veterinary Surgeons, 1 Head Veterinary Nurse, 2 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse, and 1 Animal Nursing Assistant who are supported by wonderfully efficient Receptionists. There is free parking and on arriving at the practice, you will be greeted by a light and open waiting room, adjoining the waiting room there are 3 dedicated consult rooms which lead directly on to an open plan preparation area. The separate theatre is well equipped and provides a dedicated space for sterile procedures to be carried out. In addition to all of this (yes, there`s more!) the practice also has a designated space for diagnostic imagery & dentistry. The team have access to ultrasound, multiparameter, ECG, in house lab Inc. microscope, digital x-ray, dentistry & doppler.
You will be carrying out schedule 3 procedures (subject to appropriate training), anaesthesia monitoring, scrubbing in, looking after our inpatient care, carrying out various types of nurse clinics, completing laboratory duties and much more. There will also be some reception duties when needed such as: taking telephone calls/inpatient enquiries, stock control and ordering and unpacking orders.
