Mixed Vet vacancy at a branch practice in East Yorkshire.

Salary: to be discussed depending on experience.

A full-time position is available although they are more than happy to discuss part-time hours and flexible working as they understand the importance of a good work / life balance. The hours for full-time are 35 per week plus one night on call and a 1:4 weekend. OOH work will be required for the farm and equine clients only as the small animal OOH is covered by Vets Now with them also triaging the large animal calls. Their main goal is to provide an enjoyable working environment with the perfect work / life balance that you all deserve whilst providing an outstanding service to their patients and their owners. The happiness and wellbeing of the team is the key factor to a successful practice, and they are always working on ways to continue to improve this.

They are a 2-site, mixed practice in beautiful East Yorkshire with one site situated close to the busy city centre of Hull, and the other in a lovely village of just on the outskirts of the town giving you a great mix of rural and city life. they are RCVS accredited practice for Small Animal, Farm and Equine and an ISFM Silver accredited cat friendly practice. Their large animal team are based at their village practice with most of the work being ambulatory although they can see the smaller species of farm animals at the practice if necessary.

They are looking for an experienced mixed vet to join their large, but close-knit team of 13 vets (4 of which are mixed vets). Their vets all have different strengths and specialities with a few certificate holders and form a great team that offers a fantastic first opinion service to their growing clientele. Both of their practices are fully equipped with modern technology allowing them to perform an array of diagnostics and surgery. X-ray, ultrasound, and endoscopy equipment is available to take out on large animal visits as and when needed. They have a wide and varied caseload at both of their sites treating patients of all shapes and sizes making each day an interesting one! Training and mentoring are very important to them, and all career aspirations are actively encouraged and supported. They are a Veterinary Nurse training practice and have a VetGDP adviser and love to support new colleagues at the start of their careers.
