Small animal or mixed animal vet required in the Newcastle upon Tyne area:
85% small, 10% equine, 5% farm mix or small animal only
One night on call per week (with support by another vet)
1 full weekend on call in every 6 (for every full weekend worked, no night on call the following week and a Friday or Monday off to make a long weekend)
1 Saturday morning in 3 (one of these will be part of the full weekend on call every 6)
Bank holiday cover equally shared
Competitive salary (dependent on experience)
Experienced vet salary will be commensurate whether car, fuel card and accommodation are required
Minimum of 6 weeks annual paid leave, plus birthday given off
6-month review resulting in salary increase on successful completion of 6-month probationary period
12-month review, resulting in salary increase and bonus related earnings (2 pay reviews in 12 months)
Annual salary reviews thereafter
Profit sharing scheme after 1-year review
No sole charge on call work
Professional RCVS and VDS membership paid
