Permanent Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon (Full or Part-time)
Salary Up to £63K FTE depending on experience
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join this close knit, dedicated team at a busy first opinion, fully equipped small animal veterinary hospital that providing its own 24hr emergency care, giving you the opportunity to see your cases progress. They have an experienced team with peripatetic orthopaedic surgeons and a cardiologist, along with an experienced team of 7 Veterinary Surgeons, 9 Nurses, 4 Receptionists, placement nurses and office team.
1:5 OOH rota, with a day off after a weeknight on call and a long weekend after an on call weekend, this works out as an average of 29 hours per week on day shifts after TOIL for any OOH worked.
Nurses are on site in the practice 24/7 for assisting with emergencies, triaging calls and for inpatient care
Good work/life balance with time back for any rare overtime worked and 3 days with 5pm finish.
Well managed diary with 15 minute appointments as routine, and double appointments booked for complex cases. There are reserved book on day appointments for emergencies and we also have 30 minutes of catch up time factored in prior to finishing for the day.
Passion for patient care in a 24-hour first opinion small animal independent RCVS accredited hospital.
Confident in sole charge and willing to support recently graduated vets.
The post will require a UK driving license.
