Permanent RVN role in Busy East London branch practice
Salary £32-35,000 DOE
As a full-time position, the 40-hours per week is inclusive of a 1:4 branch Saturday and 1:10 Hospital Sunday rotation. In addition to 1 bank holiday per year at the Hospital. Part time applications will also be considered.
The practice boasts two consulting rooms, a large prep and theatre area, separate cat and dog wards and a well utilised lab area. You will be working alongside a large support team of vets, senior RVN, RVN`s and trainee nurses. The team thrive on their unique dynamic for laughter and pulling together on those challenging days!
??As a branch RVN some of your duties will include:
?
- Ensure the provision of a high quality and continually improving standard of nursing care.
- Assist the veterinary surgeon in theatre and during consultations, as and when required.
- Maintain comprehensive patient hospitalisation records.
- Ensure a high standard of comfort and welfare for all pets in our care.
- Complete and maintain accurate records of hospitalised patients.
- Maintain a respectful and collaborative team environment
- Ensure equipment is cleaned, packed, sterilised and stored correctly when not in use.
- Maintain adequate stocks of drugs, diets and consumables and place orders with our suppliers to required levels as necessary.
- Assist with the induction of new staff and their subsequent training.
- Provide reception duties, as required, ensuring a friendly and efficient handling of clients and their pets, in person, by email and over the telephone.
- Support student nurses as a clinical supervisor
