Permanent RVN role Central London Branch practice
Salary £32-35,000 DOE
This is a full-time 4-day week position, which includes a 1:4 branch Saturday and 1:10 Saturday rotation at the Hospital in Wimbledon, plus 1 bank holiday per year in Hospital. There are NO on-call requirements for this role.
This fast paced first opinion two vet practice is looking for a second full-time RVN to join their established support team. You will be fully supported by a senior vet, associate vet, senior RVN, incredible trainee nurses, and a fantastic regional manager.
As a branch RVN some of your duties will include:
- Ensure the provision of a high quality and continually improving standard of nursing care.
- Assist the veterinary surgeon in theatre and during consultations, as and when required.
- Maintain comprehensive patient hospitalisation records.
- Ensure a high standard of comfort and welfare for all pets in our care.
- Complete and maintain accurate records of hospitalised patients.
- Maintain a respectful and collaborative team environment
- Ensure equipment is cleaned, packed, sterilised and stored correctly when not in use.
- Maintain adequate stocks of drugs, diets and consumables and place orders with our suppliers to required levels as necessary.
- Assist with the induction of new staff and their subsequent training.
- Provide reception duties, as required, ensuring a friendly and efficient handling of clients and their pets, in person, by email and over the telephone.
- Support student nurses as a clinical supervisor
