Small Animal Vet position on Fixed Term Contract possibly leading to a permanent role
Salary £35,000-£75,000 Full Time

Due to maternity leave, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join this growing team.

This is an independent group of four modern, well-equipped small animal practices situated across North Hampshire, with easy access to London and the South Coast.
Their close-knit team of friendly and skilled individuals provide the highest standards of comprehensive veterinary treatment and service to their clients, ensuring much-loved pets receive the most expert and compassionate care.
All of the practices are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including:

CT scanner

Digital x-rays

Dental x-rays

Ultrasound equipment

Flexible endoscopes and gastroscopes

Operating theatre

Large prep room

In-house lab

Separate cat and dog wards including an added isolation suite.

6 consultation rooms

They are multi-site certificate holders and many of their vets have keen interests and expertise in areas such as dermatology, acupuncture, cardiology, ultrasound, surgery, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, exotics and reptiles.

About the role
We are looking for someone who is RCVS qualified, competent in clinical examination and surgery, and is confident consulting with clients to help maintain their excellent reputation.
With a varied and interesting caseload, you will be supported by a proficient nursing team of RVNs and SVNs, and highly experienced receptionists.
They encourage a healthy work-life balance, with no night duties or OOH, 6 weeks paid holiday and a generous CPD allowance. They also actively support and encourage pursuing areas of clinical interest and studying for certificates.
This role can include a mix of early and late finishes and a share of the weekend rota.
