Job Title: Exotics Veterinary Surgeon
Salary: Up to £63,000 per annum (dependent on experience and pro rata)
Permanent (full-time / part-time)
Hours: 4-day working week with a fixed rota, No OOHs (dedicated night service)

About the Practice:
Our 24-hour emergency care hospital enables exceptional patient care and excellent case continuity, supported by a well-equipped in-house laboratory with extensive diagnostic capabilities
Fully equipped to perform a wide range of procedures, from routine neutering and exploratory laparotomies to orthopaedic surgery
We have a strong and continually growing exotics caseload, including reptiles, small mammals and birds. We are fully equipped to operate on and hospitalise exotics, with a dedicated night team ensuring thorough case management
A substantial and varied caseload, including a monthly visit to manage the local college`s animal department. Current exotics work accounts for approximately 50% of the role, with scope to increase this in collaboration with the management.
The team is well established, highly regarded, and places a strong emphasis on compassionate care and excellent client service. Our large team includes 16 vets, 30 nurses and 10 administrative associates, supported by a Clinical Director, two Head Vets, a Clinical Nursing Manager and a Practice Manager. We actively encourage further study, with six vets currently working towards certificates in surgery, internal medicine and exotics.
Ideal Candidate:
A Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys working to a high standard of care and is committed to delivering excellent patient services
Strong communication skills to ensure clinical protocols are delivered and consistently maintained
Either holds, or is working towards, an Exotics certificate, or has extensive experience managing exotics within a small animal practice
