Locum RVN/SVN/VCA needed part time as follows:
Our client is a mobile consults-only practice in the North East (Newcastle -upon-Tyne) needing ongoing locum nurse cover for around 2 days per week from w/c 20th April onwards. Tuesdays and Fridays. Possibly Wednesdays too although this may be a shorter day (until around 5).
The role will involve driving the van, assisting vets with appointments, and conducting some nurse consults. They typically see on average 8 appointments per day so it is a refreshing change from general practice. They do not carry out surgery.
Full clean driving license essential and must be comfortable with driving a van. Working day 8-6.
They would consider a VCA or SVN as well as RVN. A good bedside manner and mature attitude is essential as at-home euthanasia forms an important part of the work.
