Permanent Part Time Vet Role available in South West London
The salary band for this part-time role inclusive of weekend rotation is £26,100 to £52,200 (this is £45,000 to £90,000 FTE based on a 40 hour week) dependent on prior experience and allowing room for further growth and personal progression within the role.
?If you have a keen interest in diagnostic imaging, we have recently procured ultrasound facilities within the practice.
The rota for this sole charge 2-day week position is Thursdays and Fridays to help round up the week, ready for our other fantastic vet to take over from Monday to Wednesday.
?Your rota is inclusive of a 1:3 branch Saturday and 1:10 hospital Sunday rotation, plus 1 bank holiday per year. There are NO on-call requirements.
?The team currently includes 1 associate vet (who has absolutely hit the ground running since starting!) and fantastic clinical support team who have a passion for building strong bonds with their established client base and providing exemplary patient care.
??As a branch vet vet some of your duties will include (shared with your senior RVN):
- Carry out consultations, thoroughly examining all pets presented and making management and treatment recommendations which are based on best practice and are evidence-based and in accordance with protocols.
- Perform surgery on cases as appropriate and within boundaries of personal competence and limitation of overnight care.
- Maintain, prescribe and dispense all medications in accordance with appropriate current medicines legislation and RCVS guidance.
- Record accurate and thorough clinical notes and ensure that pets` histories are accurate comprehensive and useful to colleagues.
- Be prepared to refer cases in a timely manner, in the first instance to a GVG Hospital, when there is an inability to undertake a case for whatever reason.
- Help to maintain a respectful and collaborative team environment
- Work alongside your RVN to ensure branch meetings are scheduled and the clinics SOP`s are being actioned
- Oversee the consulting and surgical/diagnostic diary in compliance with company policies.
