Permanent part time RVN role available in West London
?This is a 2-day week role on Thursdays and Fridays (8-hour shifts) and includes a 1:3 Saturday rotation between Hayes and Uxbridge, and 1:10 Sundays working alongside the Hospital team, plus 1 bank holiday per year. ?There are NO on-call requirements for this position.
??This position would also suit a newly qualified RVN due to the support in the practice.
?As a branch RVN some of your duties will include:
- Ensure the provision of a high quality and continually improving standard of nursing care.
- Assist the veterinary surgeon in theatre and during consultations, as and when required.
- Maintain comprehensive patient hospitalisation records.
- Ensure a high standard of comfort and welfare for all pets in our care.
- Complete and maintain accurate records of hospitalised patients.
- Maintain a respectful and collaborative team environment
- Ensure equipment is cleaned, packed, sterilised and stored correctly when not in use.
- Maintain adequate stocks of drugs, diets and consumables and place orders with our suppliers to required levels as necessary.
- Assist with the induction of new staff and their subsequent training.
- Provide reception duties, as required, ensuring a friendly and efficient handling of clients and their pets, in person, by email and over the telephone.
- Support student nurses and VCA`s as a clinical supervisor.
?The practice itself boasts 2 consult rooms, a large bright theatre and prep area, and digital and dental x-ray. The practice also comes with a designated colleague area for those invaluable breaks.
?You will be supported by an incredibly experienced team including our part-time senior vet, associate vet, senior RVN, trainee nurses and reception team. We are also recruiting for an additional part-time vet due to increased workload.
