Permanent part time RVN needed for a branch in West London.
RVN salary band is £32,000 to £36,000 per annum (full-time equivalent based on 40 hours per week and would be pro rata` d down to part-time hours) depending on experience and allowing room for growth within the role.
?This is a 2-day week role on Mondays and Tuesdays (8-hour shifts) and includes a 1:3 Saturday rotation between Wembley and Harrow, and 1:10 Sundays working alongside the Hospital team, plus 1 bank holiday per year. There are NO on-call requirements for this position.
This position would also suit a newly qualified RVN due to the support in the practice.
As a branch RVN some of your duties will include:
- Ensure the provision of a high quality and continually improving standard of nursing care.
- Assist the veterinary surgeon in theatre and during consultations, as and when required.
- Maintain comprehensive patient hospitalisation records.
- Ensure a high standard of comfort and welfare for all pets in our care.
- Complete and maintain accurate records of hospitalised patients.
- Maintain a respectful and collaborative team environment
- Ensure equipment is cleaned, packed, sterilised and stored correctly when not in use.
- Maintain adequate stocks of drugs, diets and consumables and place orders with our suppliers to required levels as necessary.
- Assist with the induction of new staff and their subsequent training.
- Provide reception duties, as required, ensuring a friendly and efficient handling of clients and their pets, in person, by email and over the telephone.
- Support student nurses and VCA`s as a clinical supervisor.
The practice itself boasts 2 consult rooms, a theatre and large separate prep room, digital and dental x-ray and ultrasound facilities. The practice also comes with a large back garden ideal for when the sun makes an appearance and you can retreat outside for your lunch.
