Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and progressive small animal hospital team, looking for a min term of 18-24 months, with view to be longer!
Salary starting from $50,000 with OOH average additional $5-7k per year depending on how busy the OOH are.
We are ideally looking for an RVN with 3-5 years` clinical experience who is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. This is ideally a long-term role for someone looking to become an established part of our hospital and island community.
As a busy animal hospital on a small island, our caseload is varied and rewarding, ranging from routine GP work through to advanced inpatient care, ICU, anaesthesia, orthopaedics and advanced soft tissue surgery.
You will be part of a supportive nursing team of 4 nurses and 2 clinical assistants, led by a Head Nurse with advanced ICU and anaesthesia experience. Training, mentoring and ongoing clinical development are actively encouraged.
The role is 40 hours over 4 days, including every other Saturday, plus shared on-call duties: 1 in 4 weekends and weekday evening on-call.
All out-of-hours work is paid in addition to an attractive salary. An example rota is available on request.
